The whole policy, in one line

This website sets no cookies. Not analytics cookies, not preference cookies, not "strictly necessary" ones. There is nothing here to accept or reject, which is why you were never interrupted by a banner.

What that means in practice

• No analytics. No Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Fathom, nothing counting you.
• No third-party requests. Every file this page loads comes from this domain. No CDN, no hosted fonts, no embedded videos, no social widgets. Your browser does not contact another company to render this page.
• No advertising or tracking pixels.
• No fingerprinting.
• No local storage, unless you tell us otherwise — see below.

You can verify all of this. Open your browser's developer tools, look at the Network and Application tabs, and reload. The page is plain HTML, one stylesheet and two small scripts, all served from this domain.

The one thing we might store

The site ships with a cookie consent manager that is currently switched off, because there is nothing for it to manage. If we ever add analytics, it switches on, and then:

• A banner appears, and nothing loads until you choose.
• Rejecting is one click, in the same place and the same style as accepting. No pre-ticked boxes, no "legitimate interest" toggles buried two screens deep.
• Your choice is stored in your browser's localStorage under the key string_consent. It never travels to a server.
• It expires after 180 days so you get asked again rather than being opted in forever.
• You can change it any time from the link in the footer.

Until then, that key is never written and the footer link stays hidden rather than opening an empty dialog.

Global Privacy Control

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, this site treats it as a standing opt-out and will not show a consent banner or load anything optional — even after we add analytics. This is implemented in code, not just promised in text.

Server logs

Most websites keep access logs — your IP address, the time, the page you asked for, and your browser's user agent. That is a function of running a web server rather than a cookie, and normally you cannot opt out of it while still loading the page.

We have switched access logging off at our host, so ordinary visits to this site are not recorded at all. See section 8 of the privacy policy.

Controlling cookies generally

Nothing here needs it, but every browser lets you block or delete cookies for any site under its privacy or content settings. Blocking cookies globally will not affect this website, since it does not use any.

Changes

If we add anything that stores data on your device, we will update this page, raise the version number, and turn the consent banner on before the new thing loads for anyone.
